FOOD REVIEW: What you should not missed out on G Hotel this Chinese New Year.

Hello guys, another update on food! Who doesn't love food right? So for this post is specially dedicated to the ones who will be celebrating Chinese New Year soon which is in about 2 more weeks. So to you guy who are coming to Penang for CNY, here we go.




Starting from the 15 January till 15
February 2017 for a scrumptious festive treat with the theme of Golden Chicken this year, G Hotel has come up with threepackages namely Happiness, Prosperity and Longevity at the price of RM1,388,RM1,488 and RM1,588 respectively per table of 10 persons. 

PAKAGES ARE APPLICABLE IN BOTH G HOTEL GURNEY & G HOTEL KELAWAI.  

THIS IS THE LONGEVITY PAKAGE Review.


Exquisitely designed fine dining table for 10 people.

Looks beautiful doesn't it guys? It is not only on the outlook that it seems delicious, but once you really tried them. Baam! The taste of the fresh salmon coated with the rest of the ingredients is just marvelous! Ho chiak ah! HAHAHA!


Next, you will be served with a bowl 
Braised Shark’s Fin Soup with Crab Meatto liven it up. 

I love soup, hence I know which taste good and which doesn't. 
This one has passed the test for it's rich taste and ingredients being used by the chef.


Steamed Whole Chicken with Dried 
Oyster & Sea Moss in aluminum foil.


Fried Shell-less Prawn in Milk Curry Sauce
The shell is first being removed and the prawn is then marinated overnight
before frying. Complemented with the mild spicy Milk Curry Sauce invented by Chef
Kang, diners can now enjoy eating prawn with ease.

My favorite dish of the night!!! It's hard to describe the taste but let me try to explain. 
Okay, basically the coating taste a lil' bit like Thai curry but not really? A bit salty and not too spicy. 
Whatever it is, it's DELICIOUS. Oh my god thinking of it makes me want more. I've never tasted something this odd and good at the same time! 



Braised Sea Cucumber from Indonesia & Sea Asparagus
from Chile with Broccoli.


The Longevity package offers an exquisite Steamed Cod Fish in Spicy Crispy Bean to match the
auspicious festive celebration.

Honestly, by the time this dish arrived I was already too full and almost said no to this one. But my best friend told me that its really good so I decided to only have a small piece but holly fish! It was so damn good!!! The fish was really well steamed and texture was really perfect. It tasted heavenly and I almost missed it out. You guys better not stuff yourself until you have this one. LOVE IT!


Next, there is the Fried Rice with Fresh Scallops & Prawn topped with Shredded
Crispy Dha fa Fish.

Here comes the last main dish, this one was alright, a lil bit salty when I had it but of course we gave feedbacks to the manager and she will definitely tell the chef to fix this. So by the time you guys have it it will be great! I trust Christine, the manage as she is very profesional with her job so don't worry guys! Do leave your feed back after you had tried it. I would love to know. :)

Wash down the food with Chef Kang’s Double Boiled Sea Coconut
with Fresh Ginseng soup. The soup is served along with Sesame Bun with Sweet
Potato filling. These homemade desserts will definitely help to end the dinner with a high note.

Even though I was so stuffed from all the main course, I still managed to finish till the end because dessert was too good to be missed!!!! I really enjoyed munching on these adorably tasty sesame buns. Hen Hao Chi!!! It tasted so nice, so nice that I still want more right now! 

 Best part of the day is also getting to know new bloggers and super friendly and sociable manager, Christina and also Annie Wong that assisted us on that day.
