Chinese New Year is coming in two weeks time! Who's exited to get to eat loads of good food and be reunited with all of our relatives that we barely get to see each other apart from special occasions like this.
So here's the highlight guys, Hard Rock Hotel Penang is having Buffet dinners on 27 January 2017(Reunion) and 28 January 2017(First Day Of CNY). What you're reading today is my review upon the food that I have tried from the Menu for both of the dates above.
Before you guys start reading, I would like to say that overall of the food was good. If any of you have tried their Christmas buffet last month and you thought that was good. This would be even better!

This buffet offers a wide selection of Asian delicacy and seafood!
Oohh I'm already so exited writing this for you guys to read!!
Let's start from the Cold platter shall we?
In accordance with the Chinese tradition, they would always start their reunion by tossing the Yee Sang with their family members who are gathered together that on that very special night.

then we have the Marinated Octopus Salad.
Usually, only Japanese restaurants serve baby octopus in their dishes and their pretty pricey. Good news for you guys is that for both of the buffet pakage. You can enjoy as much baby octopus as you like!
Jelly Fish Papaya Salad
Chicken Roll with Thai Mango Salad
Okay, I have to say that I like the Jellly Fish Papaya Salad and the Chicken Roll with Thai Mango Salad very much. It has the combination of sweet, sour and spicy taste. These two dishses are one of my favorite dishes that night. It's like having good Thai Food in a fancy hotel restaurant.
Braised Sliced Chicken and Seafood Treasure Soup.
They taste really heavenly. Make sure that you get to try this!
Moving on to the Hot dishes for Rockin' Reunion Buffet Dinner
Steamed glutinous Rice with Dried Oyster & Roasted Mix Meat.
Crispy Chicken with Prawn cake and Marmine Chicken.
Deep Fried King Prawn with Spicy BBQ sauce.
Wok Fried Brown Crab with "Kam Hiong" sauce
Braised Seafood Treasure in Pumpkin and Garden Green.
First day of Chinese New Year is also similar to the Rockin' Reunion buffet dinner that comes with wide selection of Asian delicacy and seafood!

Steamed Fish with "Pat Tong" Style
And Finally, dessert everybody!!!
You get a few varieties starting of sweet Chinese Cookies that will be available on the day. I only get to eat them once in a year and this is the best feeling ever!
Ring cakes "Kuih Cincin"
Glutinous Rice Cake.
On the left is the Shanghai Pancake and on the right is the very well known "Kuih Kapit." You can see it in almost every Chinese house during the Chinese New Year celebration.
This is my FAVORITE DESSERT!
